As a Strategic Account Executive at Datadog, you will play a pivotal role in driving new business with our most important clients and prospects. Your focus will be on identifying the challenges organizations face as they scale their operations in the cloud and providing tailored Datadog solutions to meet their needs.

Your Responsibilities:
- Engage with major Fortune 1000 companies while managing a streamlined sales process.
- Establish, nurture, and manage relationship maps for your territory, encompassing both existing and prospective contacts.
- Gain a thorough understanding of your customers' business landscapes.
- Negotiate advantageous pricing and business terms with large commercial clients, emphasizing value and ROI.
- Manage existing customer expectations while expanding business depth and reach within your assigned territory.
- Exhibit creativity and resourcefulness in overcoming complex challenges.
- Possess an instinctive understanding of the steps necessary to close deals and secure customer validation.
- Identify and articulate key business drivers behind opportunities.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in forecasting.
Who You Are:
- Possess over 5 years of experience in closing sales, with a blend of field selling in both mid-market and enterprise sectors.
- Proven track record of exceeding direct sales targets of $1M+, with an average deal size of $100K+.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prospect and build a sales pipeline.
- Experience in an innovative tech company, particularly in SaaS or IT infrastructure.
- Successful history of selling to large Fortune 1000 companies, with a knack for acquiring new logos.
- Willing to travel regularly to client locations within your territory and other regions, utilizing various transportation modes based on business requirements.
