The Strategic Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with Matternet’s leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and engage high-value customers, craft persuasive business cases, initiate pilot projects, and scale successful partnerships into comprehensive network rollouts. This role is vital for enhancing Matternet’s market presence and transforming initial deployments into extensive, sustainable networks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Identification: Prioritize and target customers within specific segments based on strategic alignment, operational readiness, and growth potential.
- Engagement Initiatives: Spearhead customer engagement through various channels, including executive networks, conferences, industry associations, partners, current customers, and targeted outreach.
- Business Case Development: Partner with customer stakeholders to create tailored business cases and establish pilot frameworks necessary for value validation prior to broader deployment.
- Pilot Launch Management: Oversee the execution of pilot projects from agreement to launch, including site selection, cross-functional planning, and coordination with internal and customer teams.
- Transition from Pilots to Rollouts: Drive the expansion of pilots into multi-site or network-wide deployments by developing success criteria, aligning stakeholders, and formulating rollout strategies.
- Land-and-Expand Execution: Collaborate with operations and customer teams to manage the deployment process at each growth stage, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines, performance metrics, and commercial terms.
- Product Advocacy: Represent Matternet at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and create new business opportunities.
