Structural Design Engineer – Build Impactful Projects
Location: St Austell, Cornwall
Type: Full-time | Permanent | Office-based
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
Hours: 43.75/week (Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:15pm, 30-min break)

Your Role
- Lead structural design efforts across various mechanical and electrical projects
- Translate client needs into practical, executable designs
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and RSTAB
- Design robust steel frameworks and support structures for intricate installations
- Prepare precise material take-offs to facilitate production and delivery
- Conduct site visits to refine designs and ensure successful implementation
- Manage your workflow while closely collaborating with other teams
- Mentor junior engineers and share your expertise
Requirements
- A degree in Engineering, preferably in Structural Engineering
- Extensive experience in structural design, calculations, and steel connections
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, RSTAB, Navisworks, and BIM methodologies
- A solid grasp of M&E systems and applicable regulations
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical teams
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset
- An enthusiastic desire to learn, grow, and remain technically advanced
