We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Structural Engineering Intern for a seasonal role in Summer 2026, requiring approximately 40 hours of in-office work per week.
Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Position Summary:
As a Structural Engineering Intern at DLR Group, you will play a vital role in supporting the design and development of structural systems, guiding projects from initial schematic designs through to construction administration across various building types. Collaborating with our integrated design teams, you will help create structures that enhance the user experience.
About the Emerging Professional Experience (EPX) Program:
Joining DLR Group as an intern means being part of our Emerging Professional Experience Program. The EPX program offers unique insights into the design industry, fostering professional growth and exposure to various facets of architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC). The program includes mentorship, hands-on work, and weekly classes covering topics such as design culture, sustainability, construction site opportunities, and more. You'll have the chance to learn from industry leaders and gain valuable skills for your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with licensed engineers to design structural systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Participate in design team meetings, observing the collaboration among multidisciplinary team members.
- Assist structural engineers in the design and development of construction documents.
