The Student Recruitment and Admissions Specialist is essential in enhancing the outreach and influence of Job Corps at Equus Workforce Solutions. This role is dedicated to recruiting and enrolling students to complete their high school education while pursuing technical careers. Success in this position requires a high degree of professionalism, exceptional communication abilities, and a talent for community engagement with potential program participants.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and execute strategic communication plans to boost awareness of workforce services and ensure robust community participation.
- Develop and curate engaging social media content to showcase program milestones and relevant events.
- Create compelling written materials for various platforms, including websites, blogs, newsletters, and infographics, adhering to company style guidelines.
- Conduct research and compile analytical reports on outreach efforts to inform strategic planning.
- Forge and sustain relationships with community organizations to promote program activities and recruitment efforts.
- Uphold strict confidentiality concerning sensitive information pertaining to clients, employees, and partner organizations.
- Exhibit adaptability in response to fluctuating workloads, emergencies, and staffing requirements.
- Implement focused recruitment campaigns for the Job Corps Program, identifying and engaging eligible youth.
- Conduct outreach initiatives across various settings, including community venues, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.
- Achieve and surpass departmental and center objectives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Facilitate orientations and interviews with candidates, including engaging parents of minors, to clarify program expectations and eligibility.
- Present information and lead orientation sessions to promote the program at schools, community gatherings, and other relevant venues.
- Accurately manage applicant documentation, including data entry and file scanning.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings and organizational updates.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for applicants to ensure seamless program entry.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments on applicant files to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
