A Day in the Life
As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by welcoming customers, providing fashion advice, and guiding them with your product knowledge. You will ensure the store remains tidy by replenishing clothing and maintaining the presentation. Together with your team, you will contribute to an optimal customer experience.
Working at H&M means every day is different, but a typical day includes the following responsibilities:
Sales and Profit:
- Deliver outstanding customer service: Welcome customers and guide them through the store and the OMNI experience when available, providing immediate customer support.
- Engage with customers to familiarize them with our fashion trends, stories, and products throughout the store, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Actively promote our customer loyalty app (Hello Member) and sustainability initiatives in-store.
- Support the management team in executing commercial or operational actions to achieve sales targets.
- Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively in all customer interactions.
Team & Development:
- Share your knowledge and skills regarding service, fashion, and store operations with colleagues.
- Give and receive feedback with your colleagues to learn, develop, and support one another.
- Participate in relevant available training sessions such as onboarding, introductory processes, and courses relevant to your role and future development.
Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution:
- Complete the full clothing cycle from unboxing to replenishment while ensuring proper garment care and stock levels through replenishment routines on the sales floor.
- Operate fitting rooms and cash registers according to H&M standards and procedures.
- Contribute to a clean and organized sales floor (including stock rooms).
- Assist in clothing presentation and maintain appealing displays, clear trends, and stories according to visual and commercial guidelines.
- Keep track of best practices for all in-store OMNI Services and technical services/tools (Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store, etc.).
- Support the opening and closing of the store.
- Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and legal requirements applicable to the role and responsibilities.
