Join Blue Nile as a Studio Producer, where you will oversee the comprehensive production management of photography and video for campaigns, branding, and e-commerce. This pivotal role encompasses intake prioritization, scheduling, and SKU-level accountability, guiding projects from initial studio receipt to final asset delivery and upload readiness.
As a key bridge between creative vision and operational execution, the Studio Producer ensures timely, on-brand, and technically precise asset delivery. Beyond managing production, you will lead a team of post-production and asset-focused professionals, enhancing accountability and easing operational pressures across the studio.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Delivery Ownership
- Lead production planning and execution for all campaign, brand, and e-commerce photography and video.
- Convert creative briefs into detailed production plans, timelines, and shot lists.
- Maintain SKU-level accountability from intake through to final retouch, quality assurance, and readiness for upload.
- Ensure all required SKUs are captured, retouched, named, organized, and delivered correctly.
- Monitor daily production progress and proactively identify potential risks or bottlenecks.
- Adjust priorities and sequencing to safeguard project launches and significant milestones.
- Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, and E-commerce teams to synchronize expectations and timelines.
- Manage external vendors, freelancers, and post-production partners as necessary.
Merchandise Coordination (Production-Focused)
- Work closely with the Studio Manager to synchronize production schedules with merchandise availability.
- Ensure received SKUs match shot lists, creative intent, and production requirements before shoot execution.
- Identify and flag discrepancies, missing items, or condition issues that could hinder production timelines or asset completeness.
- Maintain transparency regarding SKU readiness and communicate risks affecting launches or deliverables.
Note: The intake, storage, tracking, and ordering of merchandise required for production is managed by the Studio Manager.
Quality & Brand Standards
- Ensure all assets meet brand standards, creative intent, and technical specifications.
- Review work at key milestones to mitigate downstream rework.
- Protect launch readiness and minimize errors that could influence revenue or customer experience.
People Management
- Directly supervise the In-House Retoucher, Production Assistant, and Digital Asset Manager.
- Establish priorities and performance expectations aligned with production timelines.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development support to team members.
- Balance workloads across post-production and asset management teams.
