As a Supportive Caregiver at Cordaan Youth, you will assist children with disabilities and/or developmental delays in experiencing meaningful and safe daily routines. What we offer you:
Contract: A one-year contract for 30 to 32 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent contract upon satisfactory performance. Your working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Salary: According to the collective labor agreement for disability care, FWG 35, with a minimum of €2,546 and a maximum of €3,564 gross based on 36 hours.
Extras: 8.33% year-end bonus, 8% holiday allowance, travel reimbursement, bicycle plan including bike repairs, and group discounts on health insurance.

Your responsibilities:
As a Supportive Caregiver, you will work with children aged 4 to 12 years who have moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Your tasks will include:
Guiding a group of 7 children in their daily activities.
Providing structure, calmness, and attention to ensure children feel safe.
Assisting with personal care and daily living activities (ADL tasks).
Collaborating with (personal) caregivers and helping them create opportunities for every child.
Encouraging independence, self-management, and participation, both individually and as a group.
Your commitment will help children grow and develop step by step, in a way that suits them best.
Where will you work?
You will be working at SO Alphons Laudy in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, one of our care education groups where treatment and support are provided to children with intellectual disabilities or developmental delays, sometimes combined with autism. We work closely with Very Difficult Learning (ZML) education and are dedicated to achieving the best for every child together with parents and the team.
