At Blew & Associates, P.A., a prominent national firm with over 130 years of expertise in land surveying, engineering, and environmental services, we are excited to invite applications for the position of Survey Technician. This role is essential to meet the increasing needs of our diverse clientele across the nation. The ideal candidate will coordinate field survey operations while ensuring the highest quality of deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection: Accurately gather data necessary for project completion, including boundary locations, utility placements, and improvements while conducting various types of surveys such as ALTA, boundary, construction staking, and topographic surveys.
- Data Management: Review and process raw field data, execute necessary calculations, and manage the downloading and filing of survey data.
- Project Research: Conduct project-specific research as required.
- Communication: Liaise daily with your Field Project Manager to ensure adherence to the field schedule, notifying them of any changes in your progress.
- Physical Requirements:
- Capable of traversing rugged terrains in remote locations safely.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and challenging environments.
- Ability to transport and manage heavy equipment at job sites, regularly lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Willing to travel regionally and nationally as needed.
- Availability for overtime, including weekends, as required.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ensure projects are executed safely and efficiently, adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
- Maintain and troubleshoot survey equipment as necessary.
