As a Sushi Cook at Toro Restaurant, you will play a vital role in crafting an extraordinary dining experience at our Sushi Bar.
- Possess a foundational knowledge of Asian Cuisine, encompassing Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Mandarin, and Korean styles.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Wok Cookery and Sushi production.
- Collaborate in the development of innovative Asian Cuisine items for specials or new menus.
- Adhere to and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
- Understand the correct operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment, using it as intended.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of your assigned work areas.
- Comply with state sanitation/health regulations and Resort requirements rigorously.
- Set up your workstation with the necessary mise en place, tools, and supplies.
- Properly store all food items in designated areas and ensure they are wrapped, covered, labeled, and dated.
- Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas, reach-ins, walk-ins, and shelves.
- Prepare all menu items according to recipes and yield guides.
- Notify your supervisor of any shortages that require replenishment for daily tasks.
- Communicate efficiently with team members for assistance during busy periods to ensure excellent service.
- Participate in designated meetings and perform duties in other kitchen areas as assigned.
- Follow the maintenance program and cleaning schedule diligently.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
