ABOUT THE JOB:
We are in search of a Systems Administrator responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of software and tools across our manufacturing lines. This position integrates traditional system administration with network administration elements, concentrating on ensuring that production systems are secure, dependable, and optimized for manufacturing operations. You will work closely with engineers, operators, and cybersecurity professionals to ensure the seamless operation of our manufacturing environment at scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware, servers, and software systems across the manufacturing line, managing their full lifecycle, including provisioning, updates, tracking, and retirement.
- Design, configure, and support network infrastructure—switches, VLANs, routing, wireless, and segmentation—ensuring reliable, low-latency connectivity for production environments.
- Build, harden, and maintain both physical and virtual servers for manufacturing applications, ensuring performance, security, and high availability.
- Monitor system, server, and network performance across the factory floor, proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact production throughput or timely manufacturing.
- Support the deployment and integration of factory stations, endpoints, and production equipment, collaborating with engineering and operations to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
- Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards across servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot intricate hardware, software, and network issues in time-sensitive manufacturing environments, providing clear updates to stakeholders.
- Document deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, while recommending enhancements that boost scalability, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.
