Our member firm is currently seeking to fill a Tax Manager position in our Charlotte, NC office!
Position Overview
We are in search of an experienced Tax Manager to enhance our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the preparation and review of diverse tax returns, managing client relationships, and delivering strategic tax planning and advisory services. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels in a collaborative, client-centric environment and enjoys engaging with a variety of clients and businesses.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee and review the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns for:
Individuals (Form 1040)
Partnerships (Form 1065)
S Corporations (Form 1120-S)
C Corporations (Form 1120)
Trusts and estates (Form 1041)
Act as the primary client contact, fostering and nurturing strong relationships
Implement proactive tax planning and consulting techniques to minimize client tax liabilities and support their long-term financial objectives
Investigate complex tax issues and deliver clear, actionable guidance
Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring timely delivery of services, particularly during peak tax seasons
Supervise and mentor senior associates and staff; provide coaching, training, and constructive performance feedback
Assist partners with practice development, client onboarding, and retention strategies
Address IRS and state tax notices in a timely and professional manner
