THE OPPORTUNITY
We are on the lookout for a Tech Lead Frontend Software Engineer to join our Explore team in Brazil! This is a Remote – Brazil position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the country. Please note that this role is exclusively open to candidates residing in Brazil.
As a Tech Lead, you will guide a team of software engineers, ensuring their technical deliveries are timely and of high quality. Your team will look to you as a technical authority; you will be coding key features, reviewing pull requests, and actively engaging in all architectural decisions of the squad. You will work closely with the Product Manager to assess task feasibility, determine the best strategies for user stories, and prioritize engineering challenges and technical debts. It will be essential to ensure agile ceremonies are conducted effectively and to identify any potential process bottlenecks.
Additionally, you are expected to possess a strategic mindset, challenging the product team and stakeholders regarding the scope and timeline of features, balancing complexity with opportunity costs, while fostering a culture of innovation within your team. Management responsibilities will also include mentoring, facilitating, and conducting regular one-on-ones with team members to ensure they remain challenged, recognized, and engaged, and to support their ongoing technical skill development. You will assess their performance regularly and devise optimal career progression plans.
