About the job
As a Technical Services Engineer at MongoDB, you will leverage your outstanding problem-solving and customer service skills, combined with your extensive technical expertise, to assist our clients in navigating and resolving their intricate MongoDB challenges. Our engineers are proficient in the comprehensive MongoDB ecosystem, which includes the database server, drivers, cloud services, and infrastructure. This encompasses offerings such as Atlas (database as a service) and Cloud Manager (which aids customers with automation, backup, and monitoring of their MongoDB environments). Our team members bring their MongoDB knowledge along with enthusiasm, initiative, collaboration, and a great sense of humor to deliver outstanding results for our customers.
We are eager to connect with candidates residing in Hawaii or near one of our West Coast offices for our hybrid or remote work arrangements.
The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a US government-wide initiative that standardizes the security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. As part of our FedRAMP program, it is essential that any individual accessing customer data or metadata within the Authorization Boundary is a US Citizen located on US soil. To effectively triage and assign cases, we need to identify available resources at any point in time. Therefore, the FedRamp team operates across three shifts: first shift, second shift, and third shift. This position is for the Second Shift, with working hours from 12 PM to 9 PM PST.
Weekend Shift: We are seeking candidates interested in working from our West Coast offices under our flexible or remote working models, Monday to Friday for the initial 6-9 months, depending on ramping speed. Once ramped, the schedule will transition to a permanent Wednesday to Sunday workweek to provide weekend support alongside peers. Saturdays and Sundays are considered fully online workdays, not an on-call shift. Due to the 24/7 nature of our support organization, certain events throughout the year may require volunteering for coverage outside of regular workdays or hours (e.g., regional offsites, regional holidays). These events will typically be announced weeks in advance with a sign-up system that ensures fairness.
