Position Overview
The Technical Trainer will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of comprehensive technical training programs focused on IEM’s medium and low voltage OEM products, including switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and related power distribution equipment. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing product knowledge and field competency among internal teams, channel partners, and customers, ensuring the safe, compliant, and effective implementation of IEM solutions in alignment with our commitment to innovation.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a proactive educator with extensive knowledge of power systems who excels at simplifying complex electrical concepts into accessible training for varied audiences. They thrive in dynamic manufacturing and project environments, work collaboratively with engineering and service teams, and are comfortable conducting training in classrooms, at customer sites, and on the factory floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and maintain technical training curricula for medium and low voltage OEM products (e.g., switchgear, MCCs, PDUs, switchboards) for both internal staff and external audiences.
- Facilitate instructor-led training sessions in classroom, virtual, and on-site formats covering product features, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Develop training resources, including slide presentations, instructor manuals, participant workbooks, job aids, videos, and assessments aligned with IEM standards and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and service teams to ensure training material reflects current designs, regulations, and best application practices for medium and low voltage systems.
- Identify training needs through collaboration with operations, field service, sales, and customers, translating identified gaps into structured training solutions.
- Assess training effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve program outcomes.
