The Vox Media Podcast Network is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Producer to join our acclaimed show, On with Kara Swisher, on a temporary basis. This engaging podcast reaches a diverse and influential audience, featuring prominent guests from the realms of politics, technology, and culture, including figures like Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Sam Altman, Geoffrey Hinton, Bill Gates, Margaret Atwood, Laverne Cox, and Louis Theroux.
This is a temporary position aimed at covering parental leave, expected to last approximately 20 weeks.
We seek a highly organized individual with sharp editorial instincts and exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, a pragmatic problem solver, and someone who approaches challenges with curiosity, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
As a Producer, you will oversee various day-to-day operations of the show, including sourcing equipment for guests, scheduling studio time, and drafting contracts for freelancers. You will also engage in multiple aspects of production, including research, guest booking, conducting Riverside sessions, editing audio files using ProTools, fact-checking, and curating clips for social media platforms.
Given the show's dynamic nature, flexibility is crucial, as some assignments may require evening or weekend work.
