AbbVie Canada is actively seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Specialist to enhance our Gynecology commercial sales team. This role will encompass the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), including Thunder Bay. In this capacity, you will engage with: (1) Gynecologists who manage patients with Endometriosis and Uterine Fibroids, and (2) Gastroenterologists addressing Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC), Functional Constipation (FC), and Irritable Bowel Syndrome-Constipation (IBS-C).
As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will craft comprehensive business/account plans to implement brand strategies and tactics in the field. Your focus will be on achieving sales performance and fostering robust customer relationships while ensuring the patient remains at the heart of our efforts. You will operate in compliance with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all relevant laws and regulations. Collaboration across a cross-functional matrix team will be crucial, involving members from medical, market access, government affairs, health education, marketing, trade relations, patient engagement, and AbbVie Care teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or surpass business goals.
- Develop pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously enhance sales performance. Address objections/concerns logically and effectively during sales interactions, whether face-to-face or virtually.
- Proactively support the needs, expectations, and challenges of key stakeholders to build trusted relationships.
- Implement a call plan that meets established metrics and optimizes coverage of key customers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Continually deepen your understanding of customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, diseases, products, and clinical expertise. Share this market intelligence with the district manager and team members to align on strategies and optimize brand execution.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers and cultivate relationships with disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
