About the Role
The TikTok Shop Specialist will be responsible for establishing, optimizing, and expanding our TikTok Shop channel. This position will develop our internal capabilities on TikTok Shop by managing merchandising, operations, and initial growth experiments, prior to seeking external agency support.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete setup, launch, and administration of our TikTok Shop presence.
- Oversee merchandising within TikTok Shop, including the configuration of product catalogs, variant rules, and ongoing updates.
- Utilize tools like ShopDance or similar platforms for effective catalog management (e.g., condensing over 200 variants to TikTok’s 100-variant limit per product) and prioritize popular variants.
- Collaborate with web/development and merchandising teams to ensure precision in product data, pricing, and inventory.
- Create and implement a strategic roadmap to boost TikTok Shop revenue through promotions, bundles, and innovative content strategies.
- Identify, recruit, and manage TikTok affiliates and creators, providing them with necessary assets, briefs, and performance feedback.
- Work alongside internal content and creative resources (or agencies as needed) to develop video and live-shopping concepts.
- Monitor performance metrics, optimize strategies based on data insights, and report on key performance indicators (GMV, conversion rate, AOV, CAC, etc.).
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of experience in e-commerce growth, marketplace operations, or social commerce, with a strong preference for hands-on experience with TikTok Shop.
- Familiarity with tools like ShopDance or similar catalog management platforms, or the capability to learn quickly.
- Proven experience in launching or significantly growing a TikTok Shop or a comparable social commerce platform.
- Strong operational and merchandising mindset with a comfort for detailed administrative tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with creators and affiliates while understanding performance drivers on TikTok.
- Data-driven mindset with proficient Excel/Sheets skills and comfort in navigating dashboards and ad/commerce platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive attitude and experience working in a distributed team environment.
