AECOM is currently seeking a highly driven Traffic and ITS Safety Intern to join our Atlanta, GA office.

Key responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in Traffic Safety, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Traffic Operations as required.
  • Gathering and analyzing vehicular and pedestrian crash data.
  • Gaining understanding of standard practices, techniques, and procedures under guidance.
  • Researching alternative solutions and design options to support project initiatives, such as white paper investigations.
  • Providing analytical support to develop design ideas and solutions.
  • Engaging with the full design team and other stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Supporting the creation of work products including specifications, drawings, and visual graphics.
  • Adhering to detailed instructions and technical approaches for design tasks.
  • Contributing to the preparation of conceptual designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings.
