Role Overview:
The Train Distribution Project Manager is crucial in ensuring that the Orient Express Distribution team delivers effective, stable, and advanced solutions. This position emphasizes managing projects that integrate the Central Reservation System (CRS) with other platforms, developing new functionalities to cater to the evolving needs of our Sales, Marketing, and other departments, as well as collaborating with our providers to identify optimal configurations for business requirements (including new promotions and package setups).
Key Responsibilities:
- Roadmap Management: Lead and drive the development and execution of the CRS roadmap, introducing innovative functionalities and integrations that align with our strategic business objectives.
- Integration Projects: Oversee and execute integration projects connecting Train CRS with essential systems (payment, accounting, CRM, PMS, etc.). Define requirements, assess solutions, make recommendations, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Incident Management: Act as the primary liaison for resolving distribution incidents, coordinating with stakeholders to identify workarounds and solutions.
- Process Documentation: Collaborate with Finance, Sales & Marketing, IT, and partners to define, formalize, and document processes needed for effective Sales and Distribution of our products. Ensure documentation remains current with system and product developments.
- Brand & Product Support: Partner with the Trains Brand and Product teams to facilitate the seamless implementation and evolution of CRS, particularly during new product launches.
- Reporting: Report directly to the Distribution Director, providing regular updates on project progress, integration status, and incident resolutions.
External Interactions:
- Trains Owners: Engage with owners to understand their needs and ensure CRS solutions align with their expectations.
- CRS Providers: Work closely with the Trains CRS provider for system integrations and issue resolution.
- System Providers: Interface with external providers of connected systems, including payment, accounting, CRM, and PMS, to ensure smooth operations.
