Asset Management
Location: 525 Golden Gate Avenue, San Francisco
As a Utility Specialist under the guidance of the Asset Manager, you will provide comprehensive project management support for the electrical distribution and streetlight system contracts of the Power Enterprise. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing processes to facilitate coordination between Asset Management, Distribution Engineering, Redevelopment, and Utility Field Services.
- Collaborating with Asset Management and other City departments to streamline operations.
- Identifying and addressing discrepancies among Asset Management, Engineering, and Field Services.
- Engaging with various contract and finance teams at SFPUC.
- Securing approvals from SFPUC executive leadership and the Commission for contracts when necessary.
- Working alongside Field Operations and Engineering groups to inventory and evaluate all SFPUC-owned assets.
- Coordinating with Maintenance Planning on assessments, rehabilitation and replacement schedules, and asset lifecycle summaries within the CMMS.
- Collaborating with the GIS mapping and Streetlight databases of the Asset Management group.
- Ensuring contractor compliance with design specifications, contract provisions, and quality standards.
- Delivering exceptional customer service by liaising with customers, reviewing engineering details, and discussing priorities and schedules.
- Managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, change management, and ensuring that project goals are met.
- Creating project schedules, tracking progress, and organizing coordination meetings.
- Overseeing all phases of the contracting process through various City departments, including legal review, permitting, finance, and purchasing.
- Performing additional job-related duties as required.
Maintenance Planning
Location: 10 Lombard Street, San Francisco
In this role, you will coordinate projects for the Utility Field Services department, overseeing systems including Streetlights, Power Distribution, Metering, and Natural Gas. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing reports, cost estimates, and contract documentation.
