About the Role
As a pivotal member of the leadership team reporting directly to the EVP of Growth & Partnerships, the Vice President of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Strategy will spearhead the development and execution of CNBC's DTC product initiatives. This role will focus on shaping the strategic vision for our subscription business, aimed at engaging and expanding non-linear audiences. The successful candidate will collaborate with leaders across various departments including editorial, marketing, technology, finance, and product to build cohesive processes essential for a flourishing DTC operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the revenue strategy and operational functions for CNBC’s DTC products, driving subscription growth, partnership development, and Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) enhancements.
- Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and finance teams to design long-term strategic plans supporting the DTC vision.
- Manage pricing strategies to optimize Lifetime Value (LTV) while ensuring the financial model remains robust, including subscriber forecasts and churn analysis.
- Identify and structure strategic alliances to boost subscriber acquisition, enhance distribution, and create competitive advantages in the marketplace.
- Foster alignment across product, editorial, marketing, finance, and executive teams to integrate revenue goals into the operational roadmap.
- Partner with finance to manage the budget and forecasting processes, including annual and mid-year reviews.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess acquisition, retention, conversion, and monetization efforts.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and deliver executive reports detailing the DTC business's performance, future initiatives, and progress towards goals.
