The Vice President of IT Infrastructure, Operations, and Security is a pivotal member of the senior IT leadership team, tasked with delivering strategic vision and operational excellence that aligns with our service levels and business goals. This role supervises teams responsible for the Service Desk, Application Support, Customer Technical and Integration Support, and IT Procurement. Additionally, the VP leads all Infrastructure operations encompassing Network, Telecom, Server, Data Protection, Cloud and Virtual Infrastructure, Systems and Database Administration, as well as Security initiatives for SanMar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management for IT Operations covering teams such as Service Desk, Application Support, Customer Technical Support, IT Procurement, Network, Telecom, Security, Server and Database Administration, and Cloud and Virtual Infrastructure.
- Champion SanMar’s strategic vision and roadmap for Operations, collaborating with other departmental leaders to drive key initiatives.
- Lead a performance and service level-driven cross-functional team.
- Develop and implement security policies and solutions aimed at minimizing the risk and impact of security incidents.
- Establish monitoring, service level agreements, and incident response processes that emphasize the importance of our supported customers, users, and systems.
- Implement routine security updates and maintenance schedules for supported systems.
- Identify and prioritize disaster recovery strategies for systems and networks.
- Pinpoint areas for enhancement in processes and execution.
- Craft server and network strategies that incorporate Cloud, Colocation, and On-Premise solutions based on business needs and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with external vendors supplying systems, hardware, circuits, and services for SanMar IT.
- Partner with project delivery teams to ensure resource availability and establish effective transition processes at project completion.
- Encourage a culture of proactive engineering and operational improvement through mentorship, feedback, and metrics.
- Work in tandem with IT leadership to evolve operational services and manage resource allocation while addressing tactical issues without losing sight of strategic goals.
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a team of top-tier professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery and enhancing the department's reputation as a dependable business partner.
