The Vice President of Operations will play a pivotal role in steering the profitability, vision, mission, values, and culture of Rixos & All-Inclusive Collection. This position involves leading business operations across designated hotels, nurturing a high-performance operations team, and overseeing all essential functions, projects, and activities within hotel operations. The VP Operations will be accountable for achieving commercial and operational outcomes, as well as the execution of key projects in assigned hotels. Close collaboration with Corporate and Regional Teams is expected to define business objectives, establish strategic plans, and coordinate efforts to enhance commercial results while adhering to Rixos & AIC operational policies and standards, both internationally and domestically.
Main Responsibilities:
Financial/Commercial:
- Lead General Managers and the Operations Regional Team in formulating the annual business plan and operational budget for hotels, aligned with corporate directives and local requirements.
- Assist the Managing Director in establishing annual GOP targets for each hotel.
- Conduct monthly P&L reviews and quarterly assessments of hotel financial performance.
- Oversee financial expenditures, contracts, and agreements in accordance with MHR guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President of Finance to identify revenue enhancement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Work with the Vice President of People & Culture to monitor manpower budgets and associated expenses.
- Facilitate the resolution of financial conflicts and approvals with owners’ representatives.
- Guide GMs and Regional teams in preparing pre-opening plans and budgets for new hotels.
- Initiate business plans and operating budgets for hotel expansions or new outlets.
- Continuously seek methods to assist hotels in maximizing revenues and profits.
- Contribute to the development of annual sales and marketing plans for the assigned hotels in coordination with the Regional Sales & Marketing Team.
- Maintain awareness of market trends and competitive activities.
Operational:
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement to optimize processes, decrease costs, and enhance service delivery and guest satisfaction across all hotels.
- Conduct monthly/quarterly meetings with GMs and the Operations Regional Team.
- Review the hotel management structure and suggest modifications based on operational needs.
- Develop an on-site visit plan for all hotels, prioritizing new openings and extensions.
- Evaluate and facilitate new business development proposals and initiatives when appropriate.
- Supervise and assess the design and implementation of operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
