About Us
Elementl Power Inc. stands at the forefront of advanced nuclear project development and independent power production, creating efficient pathways for clean and resilient energy. We tackle the challenges of advanced nuclear deployment by providing comprehensive development, financing, and ownership solutions, allowing our clients to harness nuclear energy without the encumbrances of operational assets.
The Role:
As we embark on pioneering the next wave of nuclear energy projects across the U.S., we are seeking a Vice President for our Project Management Office. This pivotal leadership position requires a seasoned expert in commercial nuclear operations, someone who excels at establishing disciplined governance, mobilizing teams for delivery, and ensuring predictable execution across complex, multi-billion-dollar nuclear power plant initiatives.
This role is highly specialized; candidates must possess a proven track record of managing the delivery of commercial nuclear projects (or significant nuclear new-build programs) within a strictly regulated framework. The nuclear sector has unique regulatory, quality, and execution standards, and we need a leader who is well-versed in this ecosystem, with direct experience in the end-to-end delivery of nuclear projects.
As the VP of PMO, you will guide Elementl's PMO and supervise Project Directors and cross-functional delivery teams through all project phases: from initial planning, siting, licensing and permitting, engineering, procurement, EPC execution, to commissioning and turnover. You will establish the standards, systems, and phase-gate governance required to ensure that our project portfolio operates safely, transparently, and efficiently, in full compliance with DOE and NRC regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Portfolio Delivery & Execution
- Oversee a portfolio of new nuclear power plant development and delivery projects, ensuring they are delivered on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Champion the consistent application of project management and control systems (including schedule, cost, risk, change control, and reporting).
- Set a regular operating rhythm that enhances visibility into progress and risk, including standard portfolio reviews, disciplined action tracking, clear escalation paths, and decision-ready dashboards for executive leadership.
- Identify inter-project risks, resource bottlenecks, and dependencies, providing clarity and swift resolutions.
- Deliver concise, decision-ready reports to the CDO and executive leadership team.
Governance, Controls & Risk Management
- Design and implement a robust phase-gate governance framework that promotes disciplined decision-making and transparency.
- Establish and uphold PMO standards, procedures, and performance frameworks to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
