The Vice President of Simulation will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of simulation-based education across all Unitek Learning campuses and affiliated hospital partnerships. This strategic position is responsible for establishing a cohesive vision for simulation excellence that aligns with Unitek’s mission and educational objectives. The VP will spearhead national initiatives aimed at standardizing simulation practices, integrating cutting-edge pedagogical methods, and fostering innovation to enhance student outcomes in VN/PN, ADN, BSN, and direct-entry master’s nursing programs.
Develop and promote a comprehensive simulation philosophy that reflects Unitek Learning’s core mission, vision, and values.
Act as the national authority on simulation for curriculum design, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and regulations across various states.
Conduct assessments of current campus simulation practices, identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of simulation equipment and programs, considering long-term maintenance and usage agreements.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, utilizing evaluation data and industry benchmarks to enhance student learning outcomes.
Document and maintain standard operating procedures for administrative and simulation-based activities, including safety and equipment management.
Collaborate with Deans and Faculty Development to create and deliver onboarding and continuous professional development for simulation faculty and facilitators.
Facilitate joint training programs to support ongoing professional growth in simulation teaching methodologies.
Guide the creation of simulation scenarios and debriefing methodologies to ensure consistency and innovation in learner experiences.
Assess and align campus simulation practices across various programs and locations to identify strengths and areas for enhancement.
Implement and uphold national Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of simulation operations.
Stay abreast of advancements in simulation pedagogy, technology, and regulatory frameworks at both national and state levels.
Work closely with procurement and campus leadership to ensure sustainable and standardized simulation resources.
Guarantee equitable resource distribution and operational consistency across all campuses.
