Role Overview
The Vice Principal (High School) will spearhead the academic and operational aspects of the division, focusing on faculty development, student achievement, and nurturing a positive campus culture that promotes holistic growth. This role involves crafting and implementing annual and long-term strategies to achieve outstanding A-Level and/or AP results and facilitate university admissions, while also fostering character development, leadership skills, creativity, and social responsibility.
- Direct curriculum development and continuous enhancement to align with A-Level/AP standards and international university admission criteria.
- Oversee the execution of teaching practices, academic coordination, and assessment methods to elevate student performance across the division.
- Utilize learning and assessment data in collaboration with subject and grade leaders to pinpoint areas for improvement and implement targeted strategies.
- Establish and sustain robust academic quality assurance systems, integrating reflective practices and formative assessments.
- Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, assessment, and retention of a high-performing faculty team.
- Mentor subject leaders, grade leaders, and middle managers to clarify roles and enhance leadership capabilities.
- Organize and facilitate professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration to foster innovative teaching practices.
- Implement ongoing feedback mechanisms to bolster staff engagement and wellbeing.
- Manage student wellbeing initiatives, including pastoral care, behavior management, safeguarding, and psychological support.
- Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, service learning, and leadership programs to promote comprehensive development.
- Coordinate academic pathways, university counseling, and personalized student plans to achieve diverse post-secondary outcomes.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, professional, and internationally-minded campus culture.
- Manage daily operational tasks such as timetabling and event coordination.
