Our social media strategy relies heavily on dynamic and engaging video content across platforms such as Facebook/Meta, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, focusing on product features, pet lifestyle moments, and impactful storytelling.
About the Role
We are in search of a talented Video Editor with a minimum of 5 years of experience who can creatively transform raw footage and brand materials into highly engaging, pet-centric video content optimized for platforms like Facebook/Meta, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. The videos should vividly illustrate product functionality and benefits in real-life scenarios involving pets, while capturing emotion, engagement, and a call to action.
Responsibilities
- Produce short-form video content (15-60 seconds) tailored for advertisements and social media.
- Integrate product close-ups, usage demonstrations, and pet interactions to foster emotion and trust.
- Enhance storytelling and clarity through motion graphics, transitions, captions, and sound effects/music.
- Conduct A/B testing on various video cuts to optimize performance metrics (CTR, engagement, conversions).
- Adapt video formats for different placements (Feed, Stories, Reels, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with marketing strategists, copywriters, and creative leads to ensure alignment with campaign objectives and messaging.
- Remain informed about trends in pet and pet-owner content, consumer behavior, and best practices in social media video.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate
- A portfolio showcasing high-performing video projects, particularly in the pet, animal, or consumer goods sectors.
- Proficiency in editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or After Effects (or equivalent).
- A strong sense of pacing, emotion, and storytelling — able to captivate viewers within the first three seconds.
- Ability to adapt content for various platforms (aspect ratios, audio settings, captions).
- A data-driven approach, with experience utilizing metrics to guide editing decisions.
- Bonus: Familiarity with user-generated content (UGC) and/or capability to shoot original footage as necessary.
