As a Visiting Professor of Mental Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of nursing education. Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through effective clinical instruction and community service.
- Managing all aspects of your teaching load with autonomy.
- Designing clinical experiences and providing direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students as they deliver care.
- Ensuring availability and support to agency staff.
- Assessing student performance and providing thorough feedback aligned with course objectives.
- Offering remediation support to students as necessary.
- Staying informed about agency policies and procedures with assistance from agency personnel.
- Creating and posting written clinical assignments tailored to students' knowledge, skills, and learning needs.
- Grading assignments in a timely manner, including homework, quizzes, tests, and clinical paperwork.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and evaluation of the College's programs.
- Possibly teaching didactic course content under the guidance of a course coordinator.
- Keeping course coordinators updated on student and agency-related concerns.
- Collaborating with college administration and faculty to enhance college operations and student satisfaction.
- Participating in the College Assessment Program and campus retention initiatives.
- Exemplifying professionalism in customer service, collaboration, communication, and overall conduct.
- Utilizing interpersonal skills to facilitate group problem-solving and consensus-building.
- Adhering to regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Reporting to the dean, assistant dean, or course coordinator.
