As the Volunteer Fundraising Director, you will play a crucial role in shaping the fundraising strategy for The Aparecio Foundation. Your primary focus will be to create and execute initiatives aimed at generating revenue to support our mission of empowering low-income women through academic and scholarship programs. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including crafting grant proposals, managing direct mail campaigns, securing endowments, cultivating relationships with major donors, and organizing impactful fundraising events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including setting clear goals and priorities.
- Conduct thorough research to identify potential donors and key stakeholders.
- Plan and manage projects to optimize organizational effectiveness and achieve successful outcomes.
- Maintain and update donor databases effectively.
- Collaborate with the fundraising committee to oversee event planning and campaign execution.
- Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of volunteers.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of fundraising events.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your expertise in fundraising.
- Establish and nurture relationships with clients, government officials, and media representatives, leveraging these connections to create new business opportunities.
- Identify target client groups and audiences, determine effective communication strategies, and develop a communication plan for fundraising efforts.
- Supervise and evaluate the activities of fundraising staff.
- Enhance and sustain the organization’s corporate image, including branding elements such as logos and signage.
- Respond to inquiries regarding the organization's activities and status.
- Oversee the fundraising budget to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Direct the activities of external agencies and partners involved in fundraising strategy development.
- Assess advertising and promotional initiatives for alignment with fundraising goals.
