We are on the lookout for a Volunteer Support & Systems Manager to spearhead the enhancement and maintenance of automated workflows utilized by the Volunteer Support Team.
The successful candidate will oversee the efficient operation of the Volunteer Support function, managing daily administrative tasks for essential volunteer processes. You will also be responsible for line managing the Volunteer Support Officers, who serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, assisting them with various processes and broader administrative needs.
Role Overview
The Volunteer Support & Systems Manager plays a critical role in the seamless and effective functioning of the Volunteer Support team. This role involves maintaining and continuously improving automated workflows, which encompass the onboarding of new volunteers, management of mandatory training for current volunteers, and meticulous record-keeping for promotions, transfers, and departures. Furthermore, this position is responsible for providing robust line management to a team of Volunteer Support Officers, ensuring they deliver exemplary administrative support to our volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of all Volunteer Support automated workflows.
- Develop clear and effective guidance to assist volunteers in navigating the various Volunteer Support digital systems.
- Line manage and support the Volunteer Support Team located at the MSSC Support Centre, empowering them to provide effective and consistent volunteer support.
- Functionally manage and assist the Area Volunteer Support Team across six Area Offices, ensuring they deliver effective and consistent support to volunteers.
