About the Role
Join our client as a Web Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing data-driven decision-making across the Shopify ecosystem. This position takes ownership of the entire analytics infrastructure, ensuring that data collection is clean and precise through Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Your insights will directly impact growth, optimize user journeys, and enhance conversion rates.
You will work collaboratively with eCommerce, development, and marketing teams to ensure a robust analytics setup, identify user behavior trends, and support essential reporting tools like Looker Studio and other data visualization platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytics Implementation & Management: Perform audits, implement, and manage all GA4 and GTM configurations for our Shopify storefront and application experiences. Ensure accurate tracking of key eCommerce events and conversion actions across both web and mobile platforms. Develop and manage advanced tagging strategies, troubleshoot data tracking issues, and ensure data integrity.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Convert user behavior data into actionable insights that inform conversion rate optimization (CRO), merchandising, and marketing strategies. Develop and sustain dashboards in Looker Studio for performance monitoring and executive reporting. Collaborate with eCommerce and marketing teams to assess the impact of campaigns, promotions, and site modifications.
- Auditing & Data Quality: Lead thorough audits of GA4 and GTM to identify gaps and misconfigurations, ensuring data consistency across all platforms, including Shopify and marketing tools like Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, and Klaviyo.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers to implement tracking requirements, partner with CRO and product teams to validate data through testing, and support advanced analytics projects such as user segmentation and predictive modeling.
