Your Role
As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a critical role in our mission, working directly in the field. Your hands-on expertise will be essential as you pull wires, troubleshoot electrical issues, and exemplify high standards through your actions. You will serve as the technical backbone of our Houston battery fleet, leading by example and ensuring the highest quality of work.
Key Responsibilities
Field Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and battery system issues on-site.
Quality Assurance: Conduct rework to ensure installations comply with safety inspections and meet our stringent quality standards.
Inspector Liaison: Collaborate with inspectors and Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) representatives during site visits to address immediate concerns.
Crew Training: Mentor and onboard new installation teams, promoting best practices and high performance.
Technical Expertise: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Base hardware, National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations, and fundamental electrical principles.
On-Call Support: Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to manage urgent electrical problems during off-hours.
Qualifications
Licensure: A valid Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license is required.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant electrical experience, particularly with battery backup systems, EV chargers, or whole-home generators.
Approach: A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to executing tasks correctly the first time.
Communication Skills: Proficient in articulating technical information to installers, inspectors, and homeowners clearly and effectively.
