About the Role
As Base scales the future of energy, we seek an experienced Journeyman Electrician who excels in hands-on environments. You will be actively engaged in the field each day, installing wiring, examining panels, diagnosing real issues, and exemplifying excellence through your actions. Serving as the technical backbone of our Houston-based battery fleet, you will not only lead others but also actively contribute by performing the necessary tasks with precision.
What You'll Do
Your daily responsibilities will encompass:
Hands-On System Diagnostics: Engage in troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical and battery system failures in the field.
Quality & Compliance: Conduct rework to guarantee installations meet inspection standards and adhere to internal quality benchmarks.
On-Site Authority Representation: Collaborate with inspectors and AHJs in the field, conducting walkthroughs of installations and resolving issues on the spot.
Crew Mentorship: Train and onboard new installation teams to uphold superior performance standards.
Expert Oversight: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Base hardware, NEC Codes, and general electrical principles.
Emergent Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to address urgent electrical issues during nights and weekends.
What You'll Bring
Credentials: A valid Residential Wireman or Journeyman Electrician license.
Experience: Over 4 years of relevant electrical experience, particularly with battery backups, EV chargers, or whole-home generators.
Mindset: A commitment to quality work and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both crews and inspectors.
Communication: Proficient in articulating tasks and corrections to installers, inspectors, and homeowners.
