As a vital member of our team, the Junior Transcriptionist will expertly manage and process English dictations efficiently, providing essential in-house support for both new and ongoing projects. Candidates should exhibit exceptional proficiency in English, coupled with outstanding listening abilities, and should be adept at proofreading to guarantee the quality and precision of all project outputs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Team Lead to clarify project requirements and ensure alignment with objectives.
Coordinate with quality assurance personnel to guarantee that transcriptions meet specified guidelines and are linguistically accurate.
Transcribe audio and video files or revise client-provided documents in various formats, proofreading and editing to enhance grammar, spelling, and formatting.
Utilize diverse subtitling and captioning tools to create and format English subtitles per project specifications.
Conduct research on terminology and concepts using dictionaries and online resources as necessary.
Perform data entry tasks by transcribing numbers, names, and addresses from source documents or replicating on-screen text from videos into editable formats, formatted in Microsoft Word.
Proofread and edit the work of external transcription vendors as needed.
Review any inaudible sections from external vendor transcriptions to ensure completeness.
Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor that fall within the scope of this role.
