As a Key Account Manager (KAM) at AbbVie, you will play a pivotal role in shaping market access and driving portfolio growth across various therapeutic areas, including Oncology and Immunology in Peru. This position requires a balance of strategic leadership and operational execution, ensuring robust engagement with key payors, healthcare providers, and institutional customers while serving as the primary liaison with local distributors.

The KAM will possess an in-depth understanding of the Peruvian healthcare landscape, integrating access dynamics, funding mechanisms, and decision-making processes to implement effective portfolio strategies in alignment with AbbVie’s standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy & Account Leadership:

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive, portfolio-based account plans across Oncology and Immunology.
  • Align Business Unit strategies into a unified approach for public and private segments regarding new assets.
  • Stay abreast of healthcare policies, reimbursement mechanisms, and procurement processes in Peru to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Position AbbVie as a trusted, long-term partner to key stakeholders.

Distributor Partnership & Governance:

  • Oversee the strategic and operational relationship with distributors across all AbbVie Business Units.
  • Establish joint objectives, KPIs, and governance frameworks with distributors.
  • Ensure distributor teams are well-trained and capable of executing multi-portfolio strategies aligned with AbbVie’s compliance standards.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations to identify gaps and areas for improvement.

Operational & Business Execution:

  • Engage actively in strategic internal discussions, including demand reviews and forecasting cycles.
  • Enhance demand planning accuracy by integrating distributor insights and account intelligence.
  • Ensure timely billing and order fulfillment, collaborating closely with Customer Care and Supply Chain teams.
  • Manage financial reconciliations with distributors, ensuring accuracy in discounts, rebates, and adjustments.
  • Monitor commercial agreements for compliance and performance.
