Join Rehire as we partner with an innovative technology company seeking a talented Android Mobile Developer. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Kotlin to design and develop cutting-edge Android applications.
We are in search of a proactive individual contributor who possesses a strong background in creating production-quality Android apps. This position requires taking ownership of projects, demonstrating technical expertise, and collaborating effectively with both local and US-based teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance Android applications using Kotlin.
Optimize application performance, ensuring responsiveness and efficient memory management.
Take responsibility for assigned features, articulating your technical decisions clearly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and QA.
Manage releases and deployments to the Google Play Store.
Maintain a high development velocity and deliver on sprint commitments.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development workflows.
Requirements:
3 to 8 years of professional experience in mobile development.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Kotlin and the Android SDK.
Strong grasp of Android development principles, including architecture patterns and lifecycle management.
Proven experience in shipping and maintaining production-level Android applications.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with distributed teams.
Experience in Agile methodologies.
About the Position:
· This is a full-time remote position on a contractor basis.
· Duration: 6 months with possible extension.
· Work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (US Eastern Time).
