We seek a passionate developer with extensive experience in Kotlin and proven success in delivering production-grade Android applications. This position demands a proactive approach, technical expertise, and the capability to collaborate effectively with teams across different regions, including the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust Android applications leveraging Kotlin.
- Ensure exceptional performance, responsiveness, and scalability in mobile applications.
- Enhance memory management, UI performance, and lifecycle management within the Android ecosystem.
- Take ownership of assigned features and effectively communicate technical decisions.
- Work closely with product, design, and QA teams in a collaborative environment.
- Oversee deployment processes and manage production releases to the Google Play Store.
- Maintain a high development velocity, delivering on sprint commitments consistently.
- Adhere to best coding practices, engage in code reviews, and contribute to enhancing architecture and development workflows.
Requirements:
- 3–8+ years of experience in mobile development.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Strong grasp of Android development fundamentals, including architecture patterns and performance optimization.
- Experience in launching and maintaining production-level Android applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with distributed teams.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
About the Position:
This is a full-time, fully remote contractor position for a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.
You will be expected to work from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (US Eastern Time).
