Job Summary:
As the Design Manager, you will oversee and mentor the design team to successfully deliver collections that align with Boohoo’s vision across both local and international markets, adhering to tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and articulate a clear design vision to the team.
- Lead the design critical path, ensuring alignment with buying and marketing strategies.
- Utilize your market insights to inform a customer-centric design approach.
- Deliver consistent product direction and unique handwriting for the brand.
- Ensure a well-balanced product range for customers across varying timelines.
- Champion best practices within the team.
- Meet departmental deadlines to create seasonal and in-season trend packs.
- Collaborate with the Design team to identify relevant trends and key items for the season.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
- Foster strong relationships with Department Heads and provide design support, bridging communication between designers and leadership.
- Mentor and develop team members to ensure continuous growth and improvement.
Team Management:
- Effectively communicate organizational goals and motivate team members to achieve them.
- Employ leadership skills to enhance employee performance and satisfaction.
- Monitor team performance and implement strategies for increased productivity.
- Facilitate effective communication strategies within the department.
- Lead by example, serving as a role model for employees.
