Become a Language Arts Instructor at AoPS Academy!

Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver Engaging Curriculum: Utilize our specially designed curriculum and resources to captivate advanced students in small language arts classes.
- Foster Student Engagement: Promote an interactive classroom environment that encourages student-led discussions and active participation.
- Manage Classroom Dynamics: Skillfully oversee classes of up to 16 students, ensuring a productive learning environment.
- Assess and Provide Constructive Feedback: Evaluate student performance through tests and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Build Meaningful Relationships: Establish connections with students and their families, contributing positively to their educational experience.
- Inspire a Love for Learning: Cultivate critical thinking and a passion for language arts among students.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- A Bachelor’s in Education or a related humanities field is highly desirable.
- Strong expertise in reading, writing, and grammar.
- Previous experience in teaching or tutoring.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
We are currently seeking SUBSTITUTES with flexible schedules who can teach elementary and/or middle school-high school level Language Arts classes for the 2025-2026 academic year:
Certification:
- A formal teaching credential is not required for this role.
Schedule:
- Classes are held in the evenings and on weekends. Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (starting as early as 4:15 PM) and/or on weekends.
- Initial commitment of approximately 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
- Each course convenes once per week for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Campus Location:
- This is an in-person position at our Frisco location.
- Candidates must reside in or around Frisco, TX.
