About the Position
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and diligent individual to join our team as a Last Mile Delivery Driver. This role primarily involves operating a 26-foot box truck for last-mile deliveries while also engaging in various warehouse operations. Key responsibilities include receiving and organizing materials, assembling job kits, and utilizing equipment such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety and efficiency while maintaining a clean and organized environment both in the truck and the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely and efficiently to residential and commercial locations, ensuring careful handling of all items.
- Operate electric pallet jacks to manage pallet movement in and out of the truck.
- Engage with customers by providing exceptional service during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues.
- Conduct pickups from customers, ensuring accurate accounting for return items and maintaining cleanliness of the delivery area.
- Plan and follow optimal routes to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Accurately document delivery information, including times and addresses, using delivery applications or paperwork.
- Assist in inventory management by loading and unloading products, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to driving and product handling.
- Report any delivery issues or delays, including property damage, missing items, or obstacles encountered on the road.
