CGS Federal is on the lookout for a dedicated Law Clerk to bolster our support for the legal operations of a prominent federal agency. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in various litigation support tasks, including cite checking, document review, and legal research, among others.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate under the guidance of a Project Supervisor or Project Manager.
- Conduct extensive legal research for trial staff.
- Assist in drafting various legal documents, including motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
- Review and perform research for Release of Information (ROI).
- Analyze new cases and research applicable laws.
- Edit final decisions and draft legal opinions on recent cases.
- Review cases for issuance and respond to citizen inquiries.
- Review AMICUS briefs and brief attorneys on legal theories and facts.
- Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
- Perform cite checking using online legal research tools, including Westlaw and Lexis, along with Bluebook guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or current attendance at an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study. Equivalent legal training or experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of federal and state court systems and legal research methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
