CGS Federal is actively searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to support our mission in aiding a significant federal agency. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for candidates to showcase their skills in litigation support activities such as cite checking, document examination, legal research, and various other essential tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate under the guidance of a Project Supervisor or Project Manager.
- Conduct advanced legal research to assist trial staff.
- Aid in drafting legal documents such as motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Review and research for Release of Information (ROI).
- Examine new cases and research relevant laws.
- Edit final decisions and draft legal opinions on recent cases.
- Review and edit cases for issuance.
- Respond to correspondence from citizens.
- Analyze AMICUS briefs.
- Prepare briefings for attorneys on legal matters, theories, and factual statements.
- Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
- Perform cite checking using legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis, as well as Bluebook standards.

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required, or enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study completed, or equivalent legal training/experience.
- Strong understanding of federal and state court systems, legal research methodologies, and available resources.
