Role Overview
In the role of MuleSoft Technical Lead Consultant / Architect, you will serve as the key representative and expert for Datacom’s MuleSoft capabilities during significant customer interactions. Your responsibilities will encompass leading discovery workshops, defining architecture, and steering solution direction, while also providing both technical and people leadership within project delivery teams. We seek a distinguished Senior Integration Leader who inspires trust among clients and guides teams effectively through project complexities.
This is a hybrid role that encompasses:
- Consultative and technical pre-sales engagement
- Enterprise integration architecture development
- Leadership in MuleSoft practices
- Expertise in Java & Spring Boot engineering
- Ownership of client accounts and relationships

Your Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Consulting
- Serve as the primary MuleSoft consultant and architect for designated customer accounts.
- Facilitate discovery workshops to identify business objectives, integration challenges, and technical constraints.
- Establish trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, acting as a long-term integration advisor.
- Assist account teams with technical pre-sales, shaping solutions, and contributing to proposals.
Architecture & Solution Design
- Design enterprise-level MuleSoft architectures in line with API-led connectivity principles.
- Formulate integration strategies addressing system, process, and experience APIs.
- Create modern integrations across MuleSoft, Java-based services, cloud platforms, and hybrid environments.
- Ensure solutions align with security, scalability, performance, and governance standards.
MuleSoft Technical Leadership
- Deliver hands-on technical leadership throughout MuleSoft implementations.
- Establish technical direction, integration standards, and best practices.
- Review designs and code to ensure quality, maintainability, and architectural integrity.
- Lead complex integration projects and guide teams through challenges.
Java & Spring Boot Engineering
- Leverage strong Java and Spring Boot expertise to enhance MuleSoft implementations.
- Design and develop supporting microservices, custom connectors, or backend services as necessary.
- Connect traditional application development with modern integration platforms.
People & Practice Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coach MuleSoft and integration teams to foster professional growth and skill development.
