Are you passionate about ensuring that electrical installations in tunnels, bridges, and sluices not only function but are genuinely safe? As the Lead Engineer in Machine Safety at Vialis, you will spearhead the safety of critical infrastructure. You will translate stringent standards into innovative, future-proof solutions, directly impacting the mobility of millions of Dutch citizens. This role offers responsibility, technical depth, and a wide variety of tasks.
Your Responsibilities:
• Lead machine safety analyses and develop safe designs within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Apply and interpret key standards such as the Machinery Directive, NEN 1010, NEN 3140, IEC 60204-1, and IEC 81436.
• Develop functional designs, system topologies, and secure control concepts.
• Guide on-site execution and serve as a technical contact for execution teams.
• Specify and evaluate PLC systems, relays, and other electrical components concerning safety levels.
• Collaborate with suppliers and colleagues from civil and mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Model and design using Enterprise Architect, Intelec, and Dialux.
• Proactively identify risks and implement improvements in machine safety.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers in your field.
