As the Lead Engineer in Machine Safety at Vialis, you will take charge of the safety of critical infrastructure. You will translate stringent standards into innovative, future-proof solutions, directly impacting the mobility of millions of Dutch citizens. This role offers significant responsibility, deep technical engagement, and a diverse range of tasks.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead machine safety analyses and develop safe designs within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Apply and interpret key standards such as the Machinery Directive, NEN 1010, NEN 3140, IEC 60204-1, and IEC 81436.
- Develop functional designs, system topologies, and safe control concepts.
- Oversee on-site execution and act as the technical point of contact for implementation teams.
- Specify and evaluate PLC systems, relays, and other electrical components concerning safety levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers and colleagues from civil engineering and mechanical engineering disciplines.
- Model and design using Enterprise Architect, Intelec, and Dialux.
- Proactively identify risks and implement improvements in machine safety.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers within your field.
