As a Lead Experimental Physicist, you will spearhead the design, execution, and analysis of pivotal experiments within Xcimer’s Vulcan fusion program, aimed at achieving wall plug breakeven. This role requires translating the theoretical physics and risk mitigation strategies into actionable experiments, managing diagnostic specifications, and formulating test plans for Vulcan that ensure the facility and subsystem readiness for ignition physics.
As the inaugural experimentalist of the program, your expertise will bridge the domains of physics, engineering, and systems integration. You will ensure that the design, diagnostics, and experimental frameworks of Vulcan are meticulously aligned with the Fusion Pilot Plant's physics foundation.
