About the job

About the Team
Join the innovative Sensing Engineering team at Q-CTRL, where we turn quantum research into practical solutions that tackle real-world challenges. Our mission is to design, develop, and validate a diverse range of quantum sensors supporting our flagship products, including Ironestone Opal, a groundbreaking solution for navigation in GPS-denied environments.

A background in quantum technology isn't necessary to make a significant contribution; we prioritize strong engineering principles, a product-oriented mindset, and a passion for addressing the toughest engineering challenges in quantum sensing.

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Integration Engineer to spearhead and manage the Integration Engineering team within our Sensing division located in Huntsville, Alabama. This is an exceptional opportunity to shape the integration processes for developing new quantum sensor prototypes and products, playing a pivotal role in advancing our software-ruggedized quantum gravimeters, accelerometers, and magnetometers designed for GPS-denied navigation applications.

In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and executing the engineering strategy for Q-CTRL’s quantum navigation products, ensuring the seamless operation of complex hardware and software subsystems. You will establish the engineering standards, processes, and documentation that facilitate scalable development while guaranteeing our systems achieve performance and reliability objectives.

This position blends hands-on technical leadership with personnel management, encompassing planning, execution, oversight, and mentorship. You will collaborate closely with engineers and scientists to oversee the integration of subsystems across electronics, optics, mechanics, and software, validating complete systems in both laboratory and real-world settings. The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering background with substantial experience in relevant fields such as aerospace or other critical industries, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for developing technologies that provide tangible capabilities.

About Q-CTRL

Q-CTRL is at the forefront of quantum technology, transforming advanced research into real-world applications that enhance our everyday lives. Our team is dedicated to developing innovative quantum sensors that empower navigation and other critical technologies without reliance on traditional systems.
