Sogeclair is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer with a focus on experimental design for its Montreal office. This role centers on designing and managing mechanical systems that support advanced aerospace and defense projects.

Main Responsibilities

Design mechanical installations for experimental platforms, including flight test aircraft, structural test rigs, and wind tunnel models.
Create and implement structural modifications to adapt aircraft for flight testing.
Use CATIA V5 and Siemens NX to develop and refine mechanical designs.
Plan project schedules and manage timelines, keeping projects within budget.
Translate aerospace technical requirements into practical, cost-effective design solutions.
Perform preliminary structural stress analyses on new installations.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, encourage collaboration, and support team growth.
Coordinate closely with the experimental shop during manufacturing, assembly, and installation to ensure project goals are met.
