About the Role
The Strategy & Business Operations Lead will be instrumental in shaping key initiatives for Vannevar’s executive team, collaborating closely with the founders. This position will spearhead impactful cross-functional projects that define our growth trajectory, ensuring a balance of speed, cost discipline, and operational excellence. As the company transitions into its next phase of growth, this role will be pivotal in capitalizing on new opportunities while reinforcing our core operational, financial, and human resource frameworks. The position provides significant visibility across the organization, a close partnership with senior leadership, and a clear path to advance into roles such as Chief of Staff or a specific line of business ownership over time.
Your Responsibilities
- Establish systems for visibility and accountability, enabling rapid progress without compromising oversight of expenditures, performance, or execution.
- Develop and enhance core operational systems that facilitate disciplined growth, improving cost efficiency, enhancing our people strategy, and establishing the infrastructure for future investments.
- Collaborate directly with the executive team on high-impact special projects aimed at driving immediate operational excellence and long-term growth.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in startup operations, management consulting, or operational finance, preferably with exposure to defense or technology sectors.
